The crew try out some of the hottest new yacht toys coming on the market | Triton

On a superyacht, the deck crew is responsible for towing, setting up and supervising the water toys-and then stand by and watch the yacht owner and guests shuttle over them, enjoying all the fun. But recently, on a magical Cinderella Day, Nautical Ventures, a water sports supermarket in South Florida, hosted nine crew members and a captain summoned by Triton to participate in a close, personal, high-octane, and dynamic Water toy event.

It can be said that the crew accepted a job they could do, and they tasted a variety of eclectic high-end yacht toys. Their task is to evaluate the fun factors, ease of use, teachability, handling and storage capabilities of each product to help buyers assemble an enviable, well-planned, luxurious, and super simple toy box.

After gathering at the store’s North Palm Beach location, the staff took a water taxi to Peanut Island, where Nautical Ventures has a fleet of yacht toys — some not even on the market — ready to wait on the shoreline.

The staff moved on and mastered lean, mean, adrenaline-producing products, as well as leisurely, slower-paced options. And their final assessment? Each toy provides a fun and unique experience.

“When making the selection, we noticed how these yacht toys will attract charter guests. The crew must easily teach the guests, as well as the yacht owners themselves who are proud of the toy collection on board,” concluded. Frank Ferraro, Director of Marketing at Nautical Ventures. "Judging from the enthusiastic response of the staff that day, I think we made the right choice."

Ferraro said that these are hot products in high demand, and all products will be exhibited at the AquaZone at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

The SEABOB F5-S diving sled adopts a hydrodynamic shape, so you can make it flexible in the water by simply shifting your weight. (US$13,450)

James Harris worked in the automotive industry before hopping boating, and he is looking forward to trying SEABOB because he is interested in everything. He was not disappointed. "It's very simple; it's easy to control, and it's no problem to teach. It's faster than I thought, but you can slow it down and pick it up when you want."

"SEABOB is the best choice for beginners, but make sure you wear a sturdy swimsuit," Luke Blackshaw said.

The Fliteboard electric hydrofoil is a surfer’s dream, equipped with intuitive Bluetooth control, speeds over 30 mph, and can provide up to 90 minutes of riding time per charge. (US$13,500)

"Apart from the learning curve, nothing is better than Fliteboard. Aside from YuJet, it is the most interesting, advanced and prestigious, and it is my most interesting and favorite today," Steve Henderson said.

"Fliteboard feels like surfing, like flying over the water," Luke Blackshaw said. "It's harder to stand up unless you have a surfing background, but lying on your stomach or kneeling, you will definitely like it."

YuJet electric surfboards are fast, fun and easy to ride, and can be easily controlled by almost anyone, even if they have no previous surfing experience. It has a top speed of 24 mph and can provide 16 miles of cruising range or approximately 40 minutes of riding time. ($9,995)

"YuJet is great," Chris Frederic said. It is really fast and can crack even at moderate speeds. I have never surfed before and I am comfortable. I think anyone can do it. "

"The best is YuJet, because it is very simple; Fliteboard is a bit more professional and takes a little time to get started. You can enjoy YuJet by sitting on your lap from the beginning and get a good experience," Mark Schlichting said.

"YuJet won me an award. It's fast, turns well, and easy to use. The handheld remote is great. I think anyone of any age can enjoy it," Avery Ross said.

"YuJet, this will be my favorite," Halley Havlicek said. "As long as you can keep your balance, it's not difficult. It's very easy to operate, and you don't have to stand up to have fun."

HOBIE DURA ECLIPSE and HOBIE MIRAGE lynx

Hobie Dura Eclipse is an ultra-light and durable vertical pedal. (US$2,699, new product in 2022, inventory has just entered.)

Hobie’s latest kayak, Mirage Lynx, weighs 45 pounds and offers comfortable seats, pedal propulsion, smooth hull, wide bow and flat bottom design to ensure stability and maneuverability. (US$2,699, new products in 2022, estimated inventory in November.)

"Both hobbies are fun," Steve Henderson said. "They are stable and comfortable, and very easy to master. I can do Eclipse for a few hours."

"They are very simple, everyone can enjoy," James Harris said.

"You can ride a bobcat through the mangroves with beer. That would be sick. Radiation. On a large yacht charter, storage is not expensive, and guests will love it," Steve Henderson said.

SipaBoards provides a SUP experience, but with a built-in "paddle assist" electric module, which can provide faster and safer riding to overcome the tide. It is self-inflating and easy to store. (Tour model board, bag and paddle, 3,090 USD.)

"A little extra push keeps us motivated, which will make your balance easier," Luke Clarkson said. "It provides a nice soft ride."

"Among non-adrenaline toys, I like SipaBoard," Steve Henderson said. "A lot of people like paddle boards, but when the wind blows, the paddle boards become rough and a little struggling. However, SipaBoard is equipped with a small engine to make life easier."

Clear SUP is a transparent stand-up paddle board that provides a window into the water. (Board, bag and paddle, $1,750)

"Eclipse, guests who like to exercise will love it, and SUPMarine [Clear SUP] is like goggles, you can see everything underwater. I like that," Irish Tucker said.

When supply is far below demand, it takes creativity to keep the yacht running. Despite some setbacks, the world is slowly emerging from the depths of COVID
