Lorenzo Galossi negative split his way to a 7:43.37, surging to a spot on the podium while taking 2.3 seconds off the previous World Junior Record.

In a BBC interview, Popovici called himself a “Skinny Legend” and said that he was inspired by Adam Peaty to become the first man under 46 in the 100 free.

The 3rd finals session of the 2022 European Championships will feature some of the most highly anticipated races of these Championships.

After thirteen years, Cesar Cielo’s 100 free world record has finally been taken down, and 17-year-old David Popovici was the man that did the deed.

The 100 free World Record was considered by many to be among the fastest, as few have even been able to scare Cesar Cielo’s mark in the last 13 years.

Scalia’s time is the sixth-fastest in the world this year, and would have been fast enough to tie for silver at World Championships.
